Each pilot bearing or bushing sold by Centerforce is the highest quality available. In most application the bearing is a direct Original Equipment (O.E.) replacement. Centerforce recommends changing the pilot bearing/bushing and release bearing during every clutch install.

Q: I need a clutch pilot bearing (sealed, hardened steel) with dimensions 1.85 inches outside diameter, 0.55 inches width and 0.75 inches inside diameter. The original bearing was in an International Harvester Tractor 574 but the shaft has worn down 0.030 inches and the replacement bearing has an inside diameter of 0.78 which is too loose now. Answer this question
A: Hi Warren I do not have the actual dimensions of the bearings available to me only applications. The manufacture told me the same thing. Here is my thought, What if you had a machinist turn the shaft down and take a steel sleeve bore it on a lath and heat the sleeve freeze the shaft and press the sleeve on and then remachine the od back to the factory dimension. You will have a better than factory piece and you will be able to use a factory bearing? Thank You

Midway Industries, producers of Centerforce performance clutches, is the aftermarket industry's biggest national manufacturer of clutch and pressure plate systems. Centerforce was born in the 1980s out of Hot Rodder Bill Hays' efforts to design a clutch that could perform up to the demands of racetrack conditions with the use of non-asbestos friction facings. Hays' design was a success and the Centerforce Weighted Clutch System was patented. Midway Industries is still a three generation family run business and Centerforce products are still manufactured stateside in Prescott, Arizona. Midway Industries is extremely proud of Bill Hays' legacy of Centerforce clutches and seeks to continue offering Jeep drivers unmatched innovation and quality. Shop Centerforce Now
