Keep your trailer on your vehicle with this coupler lock that can be programmed to use your factory ignition key.
Be sure to use wheel chock locks in addition to this tongue lock or your trailer will be stolen. Plus the lock is not tight fitting
The quick summary: A basic no frills deterrent for the opportunistic thief for the price (not msrp). Anything beyond that i would look to another solution as the collar is probably not the weak point. The lock you use is probably the vulnerability in this setup. Additional info: For the sale price its a decent deterrent. If i had to pay msrp i would consider other options. Its a strong enough u-shaped pice of steel. But I'm not sure why it costs so much. I would prefer some additional pieces to protect the more vulnerable piece in this equation - shields for the lock itself. To make it harder to just sledge hammer or pry the lock. I don't think the recommended Bolt brand lock is that strong.
Had these on my boat trailer and flat bed. Traded in my truck so was no brained to get new ones with GMC center cut key. Have one key that operates truck, hutch and trailers. How simple is that.
