Q: Will this shifter work on 1977 Dodge D100 pickup with a 727 transmission? I think I read somewhere that I might need a 6 foot cable instead of the 5 foot cable that comes with the kit. If that's true how much for the 6 foot cable? Ray Answer this question

A: Hi Ray, This B&M Unimatic Automatic Shifter is stated to work for your 77 D100. I did not see any notes from B&M stating that a 6 foot cable is necessary. Here is the note from B&M about what this shifter fits: Fits GM TH-400, 350, 250, 200, 700R4, 200-4R, 4L60E, 4L65E (4L60E/65E equipped with a PRNDL switch you will need B&M installation kit #75498), Powerglide (with manual valve body only, also requires #70497). Ford C4, C6 & AOD (AOD requires #40496 installation kit). Chrysler 1966 & later Torqueflite A727 & A904. Features include neutral safety switch, black plastic T-handle & 5 foot cable.

Q: Im doing a column to floor conversion in a 1990 jeep wrangler. The transmission is a tf999 as far as I can tell. I've spent a lot of time trying to make something that would work and have not had much luck. Do you think this product would work for me? Answer this question

A: Hello B-level, Thank you for the question. This would be a good start. You will need to fabricate a shift gate to insure the hit all the shift positions correctly. I believe that will also be the same with any other universal floor shifter as well.
