The Bilstein Suspension Leveling kit was PERFECT at leveling out our 2020 Toyota Landcruiser
2.1 inches of lift. Nicer ride than my old lift shocksLooks really beefy too.
High-quality product easy to install great great quality really Very comfortable out of the highway.
I kept bottoming out on a bad railroad crossing in town with my 2020 GMC 1500 CrewCab. Heard so many good comments on the Bilstein, I decided to replace the front suspension with the B8 6112 kit and ditch the stock suspension after only 22,000 miles. What an improvement. I can barely feel the railroad crossing now.
The build quality is amazing compared to stock. The ride quality is much better as well. Everything you need is there. Make sure to get a big enough spring compressor with big forks. I had a different pair that didn't work because they are mostly for small vehicles. This springs are a lot thicker
2018 Chevy Silverado 6.2L w/ max tow package and about 18k miles. WOW! this was sooooooo needed. Also installed 5160's at the rear. Installed the 6112's on third clip up from the bottom (second highest level). Very mild level and only had to adjust headlights slightly down. Fairly easy install once you figure out how to wiggle out the shock and loosen the sway bar about half way (some videos will say you need to drop ball joints, but with a little careful prying and using a second jack to pop them back in it was pretty easy). Did the install by myself. The drivers side on the first night took me about 3 hours and then the next night the other side took about 1.5 hours once you have the tricks figured out. Don't forget to budget $60-$100 for an alignment after the install. If you don't feel comfortable using a spring compressor, take them to a shop to change out the top hats and make sure they install the top hat in exactly the same orientation or you won't be able to re-install them. Overall this is exactly how the truck should ride from the factory and it is a night and day difference. On the road the truck feels planted and doesn't "Bounce" off bumps anymore it glides now and soaks up the bumps and in corners the truck is so much more composed (the seat of the pants feeling is that I always would try to physically lean into the corners even though that makes zero sense, but now I don't feel that insane urge to lean into a corners anymore because the truck has very little body roll). Now for off road, so the scientific method I have for a comparision.....my keys!! I use to always have to grab my keys to keep them from jangling around even on the mildest of dirt driveways (even had to do it on speedbumps). Now it blew me away that I don't have to touch them now, they barely move now even on the rough stuff (ya I know very scientific). Offroad it doesn't feel like you are a bobble head on the dash anymore the suspension does what its supposed to do, which is soak up bumps. Have pulled a 3500lb cargo trailer about a 1000 miles with these installed now and it is an absolute pleasure to drive with a trailer and even better without. I didn't realize how bad the stock suspension was until I put these on. I see why these are hard to get in stock because this is what GM should have put on the truck to begin with. Its odd the ride is a tiny bit more firm but somehow soooooo much more smooth at the same time. Its not Bilstein's first rodeo they know what they are doing. If you are on the fence pull the trigger and buy them they are worth every penny especially on a Silverado/Sierra.
Super controlled compression and rebound. My truck is on the heavy side of the application list so the height increases were minimal. 4WP got them quick and the staff in Riverside helped load up my order.
These are great for off-road, I would not recommend for highway use only. Very stiff and great to beat up!
Q: Do these come assembled as a coilover? Answer this question
A: No they do not.

A: No they must be assembled using the factory top hat and rubber insulator. It’s best to purchase NEW top hats and associated hardware and not reuse the original parts. This will also make installation and swap easy.

A: No, you will assembled and set the ride height with adjustable spring seats.

Q: Will this fit on the 3.0 1500 model Answer this question
A: Yes worth the $$$ I installed it on my 2020 RST 1500 and what a difference it made in the ride quality my only regret is I wish I had pull the trigger on rather then I had bought the 2” block to level my truck but hated the ride. I bought this to improve the ride quality plus to level my truck I also replace the rear shocks with the bilstein 5160 and man the smoothest ride for a pickup truck

Q: I’ve had the 5100 leveling shock. Is the 6112 leveling shock with springs going to be a harsher ride? Or how would the ride compare Answer this question
A: I'd give Bilstein a call. They provided me excellent advice. Each truck is different. My 2020 Sierra 1500 front suspension bottomed out on a particular railroad crossing, whereas I hardly notice it with the new Bilstein setup.

A: The 6112 is a great ride on the street not harsh at all. You won’t be disappointed.

Q: Do you all recommend using this kit with UCA replacements or is that not needed? It'd be leveling out a Ram 1500 Rebel. Answer this question
A: I used them, so not sure if it’s needed, but the ride is awesome!!

A: 6112s give you a 2.5” lift with a shim you can add .5” more. It when you go above 3” where you may need Non OEM Upper Control Arms so that you can get the truest alignment possible with the additional camber adjustment that most aftermarket UCA allow. I myself have the Bilstein 6112 w/ one boss shim and Bilstein B8 UCA on my truck and Bilstein 5160 and Toytec schackels 3/1.5” lift and I love it
