Close your eyes and think to yourself that you paid $20.00 more than the cost for the factory dampener. Now think about the hour spent to replace it with a factory Bilstein shock. Pinch yourself and realize that the experience is not much different than factory. I tried to believe the magical unicorn story, but really it's not the improvement the shocks make. For you disbelievers, I took two 2500 Suburbans and replaced one and not the other. Drove both on the road, freeway, etc. and tried to tell the difference and I could not. If your factory dampener is dead, sure, replace it with this one, it's a few dollars more and when you look deep into your engine compartment you can see it :)
5.0Bilstein spells quality!
Bilstein is a favorite of mine due to its lasting quality and durability. This stabilizer put a new meaning to "bolt on" because it truly was just that easy, no surprises. Believe me I've wrenched on enough vehicles to respect this important and often over liked quality. All in all another great product!

5.0Nice Quality, All Hardware Included
Definitely worth buying the Bilstein 5100 for my 07 Chevy 2500HD. Good Quality Damper, comes with all the hardware you need to install. Soaks up bumps very nicely, I get less feedback through the steering wheel as well. Should have purchased this sooner.

The factory includes an engineering department, rigorous shock testing facility and a motorsports track. The track allows the engineers to tweak their designs in response to real world testing during development.
