I recently bought these for my F250. My truck had the original shocks which had a very rough ride. I purchased these after looking at other reviews on the web. These shocks made a noticeable difference to the comfort of the ride and the handling is great as well.

I have been through 3 sets of Fabtech shocks since the 6" lift kit was installed and they just didn't last. Lifetime warranty against leaks, but not performance. These Bilstien shocks were a improvement. I'm looking forward to seeing how long they last. Just by looking at them, you can tell they are a better built shock.

My only complaint is the the front shocks come fully extended which makes them hard to install if you don't have a lift to allow the axle to fully drop. Other front shocks I have installed come retracted with a restraint holding them that way which you cut after they are in position. I wound up having to have a friend help me retract them and make leashes to hold them in out of weed eater cord. Once that was done the install was easy. The rear shocks come retracted and are easy to install. Other than that they are top notch.

GREATEST SHOCK EVER
THESE 5100 ARE WAY BETTER THEN THE SHOCKS THAT ROUGH COUNTRY SHIPPED WITH MY LIFT KIT. I WOULD RECOMMEND BILSTEINS ALL DAY LONG.

Bilstein 5100 46mm for 2014 RAM 3500 4x4
Installed on 2014 RAM 3500 4x4 SRW. Improved ride, handles a fullsize truck camper and trailer. The original shocks (only had 9K on them) compressed very easily, these so not. The ride and handling is so much better. Installed Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. A dramatic change in riding characteristics. Much better ride.

Great shocks - Amazing Ride
Had the 4wheel parts team install these 5100's on my 2004 F150 4x4 about 3 weeks ago. I had been riding on the original factory shocks for 175K miles and the truck was riding like a marshmallow on the highway and was unstable offroad. Immediately after installing these Bilstwin 5100's the truck drove like new. The guys were done with the job on time and on budget. Can't wait to take it offroad soon!

1 great shock
These things are harder to install than the stock ones but worth the struggle. I had 2 sets rancho 9000's that went bad so switching to these. Hope they last more than 10,000 miles.

Corrects ride height. Works perfectly to stabilize truck when towing our 14k fifth wheel. Really happy with the awesome look too..!
Will these Bilstein 5100 shocks fit the rear of my 2014 Ram 1500 4x4 with factory air suspension.
TJ from Vt on
Unfortunatly this Bilstein 5100 Series Shock Absorber does not work with air suspension Rams per Bilsteins guide. I'm having the website updated to reflect this.

Is this b8 5100 ride height adjustable 0 - 2.75 inches front or already for a lifted vehicle?
Chris from Atlanta on
This Bilstein B8 5100 Series is not ride height adjustable. It is a rear shocks that is universal in the sense that it will fit vehicles that use the type of mounting and within a travel range the shock has.
I did find a note in Bilstein's data that this shock was designed for a Toyota HiLux pick up (Non-US/foreign markets) and used with up to a 1 inch rear lift. Hope this helps.
