Bilsteins 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable Shocks are Zinc-plated shocks that install like factory replacement shocks and are designed to correct the factory nose-down rake, allowing for the use of larger wheels and tires. The OEM spring seat is repositioned to provide more preload to the factory spring. The result is a level front to rear ride height. Features include: Monotube gas pressure construction, Extremely affordable, Snap ring grooves on shock body provide up to 2.75" of front end lift (depending on application), More practical than strut extension or spring pre-load spacer kits, Offers increased wheel travel while accommodating a 33" tire, Application specific design available for many popular light trucks and SUVs.
Awesome ride, awesome looks, easy install using loaner part from parts store, set at 2.8, easley running 20x10 33x12.50 toyo mt. Definitely worth the extra $$$ over spacers.
Replaced leaking shocks in my front struts. Leveled the truck nicely when set to 2.1" of lift. Truck rides perfectly after a good alignment. 2014 ram 1500 bighorn quad cab 4x4 5.7L
Running 285/70 R17 tires with OEM ride quality with no issues. I have run 50k miles on the shock with It on the 1.4 inch lift setting.
Great way to get the truck level that doesn't change ride quality (in my opinion) installed on a 2012 ram 1500 express not on the top adjustment and clears 35/12.5R20 mud terrain tires with no clearance issues very happy with how it turned out
The ability to adjust the struts is key. The ride is also better than stock on my lifted 2011 ram 1500.
Q: I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Classic SLT, I currently have the 2.5 spacers. I was going to change the upper control arm (UCA).Due to the angle of the ball joint. I wanted to ask, if I were to install these adjustable shocks, do I need to replace the UCA, still? Answer this question
A: You can find a lot of information for stuff like this on pages like fourth GEN Rams 2.0, dodge ram lovers, I also spent a lot of time on pages for performance like high-performance Rams, and mostly Tuned rams.

A: Yep. Due to the fact that whatever you’re using to change the height of the front of the truck you still have changed the geometry of the UCA angle. I just put the Bilstein on my truck and set them at 2.8”. Waiting on my UCA’s still. I also ordered a pair of front sway bar end links that are @ 3” longer.

A: No it is not necessary to replace the upper control arm when installing these adjustable shocks.

Q: Will these work on a 2019 ram 1500 big horn classic, I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed answers on multiple forums. Answer this question
A: You should be fine, they are supposed to be the same as all the 4 gen Rams. My brother in-law has a 19' classic and it's exactly the same as my 17'.

While the ThyssenKrupp Bilstein Company began as a German enterprise, Bilstein shocks are developed and manufactured in Hamilton, Ohio. Bilstein develops and fabricates premium quality monotube shock absorbers directly for automobile manufactures, aftermarket outfits and motorsports applications. The precision and craftsmanship in manufacturing that fueled company growth in Germany were brought straight to the factory in Hamilton, Ohio. The factory includes an engineering department, rigorous shock testing facility and a motorsports track. The track allows the engineers to tweak their designs in response to real world testing during development. The rigorous testing allows for designs to go through a machine simulated life of a shock absorber in all kinds of terrain conditions. The resulting products promise the highest in performance.
