BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 Tire when roadside assistance is not an option the super-tough sidewall compound and 3-ply construction resists cuts and bruises to take the edge off of rocks and other off-road hazards. Overcome nearly any obstacle with linear flex zones that allow the tire to conform and grab obstacles in aired-down driving. Leave the tow rig at home Drive to the trails with better road manners and less noise than you would expect in an unstoppable off-road tire! The T/A KM2 is an excellent tire for the driver who needs great off-road traction, but still wants a good wearing, long mileage street tire. The Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 has a footprint made to dominate almost anything in its path. Smart design gives it excellent mud-clearing ability and low road noise.
On a scale of 5 I give this tire a 4 in the mud, 4 on dirt and rocks, 4 on wet road, 4 on ride and handling, 2 on ice, and a 2 on wear. Good all around tire, but wear moderately fast even with proper rotation and the shorter the tread the louder the tire becomes. At 50% tread I would turn the radio up on the road and down at a stop light. They are very quiet and smooth when new and by the time they were worn out at 28,000 miles I was glad to be rid of them. I had them on an 08 2500 Dodge Power Wagon and pulled an equipment trailer weighing 16000 pounds about 10,000 of the 28,000 miles and may explain the low mileage but I have run other MT tires that have 40,000 miles doing the same job. Great for a Jeep or 1500 pickup, but wouldn’t advise using them on a 2500 and expect them to wear well. Especially if you have a heavy diesel engine up front.

Great mud tires that you can daily drive
These are some of the best mud tires around. You can Daily drive them and they don't drive you crazy. They look better than the old BFG MTs and don't have that "square" look to them. They churn through the mud and are great on the trails. I only have a few thousand miles on them, but it looks like they will last a good long time.

DO NOT BUY THIS TIRE!!!!!
I purchased a set of 4 T/A KM2 LT305/65R17 16 months ago for my 2008 Dodge 2500 Quad cab Diesel 4X4. I have 14,000 on tires and rotate 3000 miles.
They make my truck drive like hell. I can put up with the super loud noise but the wobble and ride is too much!!!I complained to dealer he said it is what it is.I have owned nothing but 4x4 pickup trucks for over 35 years.I have used BFG/Goodyear/Ground Haugs/Interco tires in the past.I have taken the KM2's off. I am sick of driving a $50,000 dollar truck that drive like a junker.I installed a set of Grapplers what a difference like night and day.
