great OEM tire

This is my second Jeep Wrangler. Both were equipped with these tires from the factory. My first Jeep had 85,000 km on it when I traded it. The tires had about 20% tread left. My current Rubicon has 95,000 km on it and still has about 15% tread left. I have rotated my tires every 10,000 km or so. As they wear down, the tread tends to cup, so regular rotations are recommended. They get a bit noisy when they wear down, but not so much that's it's annoying. The tires are a very good all season tire. I had a bit less traction on ice and snow this past winter when the tread was wearing down but never got into any trouble. A very good and versatile tire if you drive highway, city, and off road. The mileage I have gotten out of these tires is the best thing, though, because I like to get the best bang for my buck. I've never had a flat, although I did have a slow leak once when I ran over a nail. Had it repaired and it hasn't been a problem since. I thought about going to a different tire, but I think I'll stick with these.

Hello Mike, It is possible that your Jeep originally came with the BF Goodrich Tires LT255/75R17, Mud-Terrain T/A KM. Jeep uses several different tire manufactures when they set up dealer packages.

2014 jeep willys wheeler. how does this tire handle beach sand?

Asked by bob from east rockaway,ny on

Hello Bob, Thank you for the question. At street air pressure the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM do well in the sand. If you air them down a few pounds lower, they do even better.
