Far better than the ko
Can't speak for milage, but up here in NW PA it's great on the woods trails. This is not a mud tire, but it handles medium PA dirt mud surprisingly well. These replaced the bfg km2 which replaced the bfg at ko I would put this closer to the km2 when it comes to mud traction (think duratrac). On the old ko's the openings on the sidewall where you'd get your only mud traction were closed these are open making it a bigger opening for the mud to grip. At least that's what I'll attribute it to. By no means is this a mud tire but it does clean out far better than its predecessor.
