Bestop Trektop Ultra Soft Top

First, make sure you have the means to remove and store your original Jeep top. Next, read the entire installation manual beginning to end. Then, check that you have all the necessary tools. It’s easy to assume you can just put this top on your Jeep, but the prep work is important to make everything go smoothly. With that out of the way, I found the installation was very straightforward. All the parts were clearly labeled, except the fasteners, and arrived in two boxes. My wife and I did the installation together. It took about half a day start to finish. That included making a hoist from some inexpensive parts we picked up at a local hardware store to put the original hard top in storage. We cleaned all the surfaces before installing the Bestop top. I will say this job is significantly easier with two people. I had all the tools as well, as I have a well equipped shop. If you’re not mechanically minded or lack the tools just hire it done.

Rear brackets on mine were printed upside down - not a big deal but shows qc is not that great. Everything works fine though. Sound insulation is pretty good up to about 65mph. In really hot temps ex 115F, the top doesn’t insulate as well as the stock hard top.
