Bestop's original frameless Trektop Classic was a showstopper when it was first introduced back in 2008. It even won Chrysler's 2008 Design Excellence Award and is the forerunner to their best-selling Trektop NX. You don't need factory frames and bows so installation is quick and easy. Trektop Classic is a complete replacement soft top with fast-back styling at an economical price.
It would be a better purchase for a 4-door JK.... If you have a 2-door JK I would recommend Trektop NX

Installed very easy
we read the reviews and we were intimidated because we thought that the install would be a pain. We searched youtube http://youtu.be/SiHjRyVdtqU and found the install video for Trektop NX. We followed the instructional video step by step and the install was done in about an hour. I think if you try to install this during cold weather it would be super difficult to do the final close on the zippers. Also the written instructions were poor at best. So I highly recommend the video as your installation guide. When it was all done and installed it looked great and worked perfect. If I have any additional information later I will make an additional post.

This top looks great. I put it on myself in about 5 hours. LOL>. After is was completely removed for hard top and reinstalled, it is loose. Metal bar up top is loose and bounces all over the place. The sunrider feature is nice at slow speeds but as a traveler, I have to bungie cord it down so it doesn't flap all over the place. My jeep is lifted and now cannot reach the top zippers on back window, much less the slide out bar. And, I'd like to be able to remove the entire top sometimes but always in fear of the dreading downpour which I am helpless to reinstall all of the top without an hour to put it back on. It certainly does not fit my needs/wants.

well, it looks good
i had to wait 3 1/2 months for this [*]. what a pain to get on, the instructions arent exactly crystal clear. The part that really left me with a bad feeling is after i got it on, i went into the jeep the next day and sure enough... I can see sunlight through the seam right above the rear doors. both sides! [*]? I got this because the hardtop leaks [*]. Oh well I can just put some sealant on it. Doesn't seem like I should have to though.

Looks great, works great!
Was relatively easy to install it on the jeep. Nearly all the parts fit. The wraparound the rear door sides didn't give enough despite letting this lay out in 90 degree sun for over an hour. So the velcro is barely holding it in place. The tailgate bar clips are not uselessly decorative like the ones that come with the jeep. These ones actually grip well and hold the rear window taut which is nice. All in all I think I prefer this softtop to the default one that comes with the jeep - the only improvement I would like to see would be to use latches on the front instead of screw in knobs.

Installed top. Went to get in my Jeep the next day and noticed the thing was coming apart at the seams. On both sides, the seams had come apart at the door surrounds. Not what I would expect out of a top name brand, and for the price.

Nice and easy
This is a great top if you want to take it completely off on a regular basis. It doesn't require any tools and doesn't use any hardware attached to the Jeep. You can go from covered to convertible to totally off in less than 2 minutes. Like all Jeep tops, it may drip a little above the front doors in heavy rain. Also, it can be a bit awkward to try to roll up and stow in the back without bending the windows too much.

like all new soft tops, it takes getting used to. the first couple of months i had this thing i had ALL the complaints people here are saying but the bottom line is it takes time to get used to HOW to install, reinstall and use your soft top! it's a bestop, you can't go wrong!the only two - three things you will hate are as follows:1) it collects rain. yup. if you leave it in the rain you will get nice puddles collected at the top. but this is easy to fix. go to [...], buy two flexible rods like door siding material. build some sort of holster to attach to your roll bars. for me, i just bought PVC piping and cut it in half. it fits perfect over the roll bar and with some padding glued inside it won't damage anything. then i literally glued a door stopped (black circular) to the end of it and i just slide the two door siding rods in there and prop it up. works like MAGIC.2) "omg its so hard to put on" COME ON! you're driving a jeep, not a cadillac! there are TRICKS, and you will learn them. the main one is...unvelcro the sides and undo the back tonnel flaps before you pull the front base to the front of the jeep. then, you're gonna want to tuck the main base under the door surrounds (yes, metal bar goes under the door surround bar) voila. perfect fit! your knobs will screw on easily now!!!3) doors-off is not too much fun with this soft top unless it is done up, or just rolled back halfway. if you roll it all the way back you get a lot of problems haha.i would say GET IT. just do it.

Hard to attach when it's cold, let it warm up in the sun.

This top will make your Jeep Look awesom
My jeep looks awesome with this top on it! Buy it! You can also roll it back so its a sunroof for the front two seats or you can roll it back more so its an open roof for all five seats (cant go high speeds like that tho)
It doesnt leak water unless there is standing water on the roof.
It is a softtop to it is noisey on the road.

Good morning. Does the soft top roll back completely with ease or just the bikini top. The pictures and video make it look like the top only comes back past the driver and passenger door, not the second row into the trunk.
