The BAKFlip FiberMax includes all of the features of a standard aluminum BAKFlip, now with an FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer) surface, making the cover dent, scuff and ding resistant, as well as cooler to the touch. Its tough aluminum substructure, robust hinge design and patented slam latch system make the FiberMax an easy-to-use, dependable cover that is built to last.
Easy to install. All you need it a socket wrench. Can be done in less than an hour.
If you have a bed rail you will need to remove it and relocate that with the included parts. The instructions are there. Not a problem at all.
Suggestion....If your bed rail has been on your truck for a while use WD40 on the hex bolts prior to trying to remove them. I stripped a couple and had to tap them. Lesson learned.. Slow down.
Cover is solid and fits perfectly. Park the truck in the sun after you install the cover and the and folds in the rubber seals will smooth out completely in a few minutes. Or you can use a hair dryer to warm them up. The instructions will show you.
I was also really impressed with the way Bak packs their items. They place the items in the box and inject expanding foam around the product which really protects the items well during shipping.
I've already gotten several compliments on the cover. It looks great and works like a champ.

Looks good and locks tight!
It's great. Easy to install...look at pictures carefully. The end with the risers goes to the head of the cab for example. It locks tight but won't be completely locked unless you have a tailgate lock installed. Otherwise can be opened after dropping the tailgate. Super clean look and as long as you have rails will slide in and assemble quickly. Not sure where the drainage pipes fit...there are no instructions/photos for those. Also it covers the rails so any tie down devices you have on the rails will have to be removed and stored. I may cut holes in the rails to allow the installation of my tie downs at a later date. I like it but because of the way the rails are set up am giving it only 4 stars.

fibermax bak flip is a win
This thing is awesome. Took me an hour by myself to install. Very easy to install. This thing does great in the rain and keeps all your stuff dry. I've only had it a few weeks but it is definitely a must. Once I lock my tailgate and put the fiber max bak flip in position there is NO WAY to get into the bed of my truck. Leaving everything in the bed concealed and safe. Easy to flip back up and fold for use of entire bed.
Do you have to manipulate the side Utilitrac rails to use this cover?

I have a 2013 TRD Sport, Long Bed Toyota Tacoma. I want to install a Hard folding tonneau cover.
Currently have the bed rail cleat system installed, is there a hard folding tonneau cover I can install with this system in place that this system won't interfere with the anchor system or do i need to remove the cleats? If there are no folding systems what is your recommended most durable option?
Stephanie from savannah, GA on
Thanks for the inquiry. According to BAK Industries the Fibermax Hard Folding Tonneau Cover will not interfere with your factory cleat system.
