BajaRack's strong, steel 4Runner ladder made specifically for your 5th Gen 4Runner. Unique design made to provide roof access and maximize field of vision.
Easy, no-drill, permanent installation. Compatible with most roof rack brands. Mounts to rear door. Epoxy undercoat and black powder coat finish.
Before you install your new BajaRack ladder check the gap on top of the hatch it needs to be 5/16” to 3/8” inch, if the upper top of the ladder does not enter the gap on the hatch do not install, and check the gap clearance with a dealer or shop.
Ladder is as advertised, and just as difficult to install as advertised. My issue is that it was not in a box when I went to pick it up. While installing, I could tell that someone had tried to install it, and I guess it was returned and resold to me as new. The guys at the shop were even confused as to why it was delivered to the shop in no box with obvious wear marks on it.
Great service and great ladder! If possible, you definitely want two people to complete the installation.
Like everyone else is saying. A real pain to install. Mine still doesn't seem quite right. Still can't get it to not rub On the inside of the tail gate at the top when raising the tailgate. Thought I had it but it after letting it settle a few hours, it started rubbing again. I installed the dang thing 5 or 6 times and still not 100% right. Open to suggestions.
Looks great but installation sucked. Has to be a better way then having someone over 170 lbs stand on the ladder for you to get some screws in
Fits really tight and takes a little bit to get it done, but once you get it on it is solid and I think it looks great.
The craftsmanship is great along with the awesome fit and finish. With this ladder it doesn’t obstruct your view in the rear. It also fits close to the body with enough room to use the steps.
Fast shipping from 4wp, great product, best ladder for 4runner follows contours well and least rear view obstruction

Q: Will this fit a 2016 4runner? Answer this question
A: I put this ladder on my 2017 4Runner and it fits great. I believe the 2016 is also a 5th gen 4Runner as well. It should fit fine.

Q: Will this work with the mega mule rack on the factory roof rack? Answer this question
A: I have a 2020 4Runner TRD Pro and that factory rack was not a problem. You do have to mess with the positioning a little bit to get it the right space so it doesn’t hit the rack but worked out just fine. Hope this helps!
