Q: I am rebuilding a Dana 44 out of a 1953 Hudson with 3.07 gear ratio and 19 spline axles. I would like to change the ratio to 3.54 and add limited slip. Do you know if this unit will work in that housing? Do you sell the ring and pinion sets? Answer this question
A: hello Kerry yes it will work in the older Dana 44's. We also have the ring and pinion's but they are 26 spline pinion shaft. Yours is most likely 10 spline so you would need the new 26 spline yoke. The gear part number is G/2 2-2033-354 not sure on the yoke. The best I could come up with is it used an 1310 series u-joint. If that is correct the yoke would be part number D/S 2-4-8091x

Q: I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler sport, Automatic, 3.6 Pentestar, next generation DanaHD rear Axle, 3.21 Rear Axle gear Ratio. Is this the one? Thanks Answer this question
A: Darrel this is NOT the correct limited slip for your 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Your 2012 Jeep JK Wrangler's Dana 44 Rear axle is a 30 spline unit. Dana has not used the 19 spline since 1970. The correct Auburn Limited Slip is part number AUB542083 http://jo.my/aub542083.

Auburn Gear's differentials are produced from design to production in their 250,000 sq. ft. plant in Auburn, Indiana. Auburn Gear has been in the manufacturing business in the United States for 60 years. Before making differentials for Jeeps, Auburn Gear manufactured for the busing, aerial lift, agricultural, mining, forest, marine and heavy construction industries. In addition to the plant itself, Auburn Gear's property includes 44 acres. So when they design differentials, they actually install them in Jeeps and then drive them around the trails on their own property to see how they perform. This is how Auburn Gear brings customers excellent quality and we proudly carry many of their products. Shop Auburn Gear Now
