Got my ATk hp24 in April 2012, my daily driver 3sp auto 31s with 355 gears, better fuel miles, have 12,000 miles on it so far no problems. Happy happy with it, when I need to pass someone I leave them sitting still, wished I did this when I got my wrangler. Fun to drive now , I do have a boredout throttle body, borla header, highflow cat. & muffler . Can't say anything negative about it, just glad to have it!

Q: would it come with the valve cover and header by any lucky chance? if not what should i look for? Answer this question
A: Hello It does not come with the valve cover or header. The header i like is the one made by Borla. They fit very well and a very high quality. As for the valve cover any of the stock covers or aftermarket will work for the year of motor. Q: will this engine be as durable as the stock 4.0 engine in a 2000 jeep cherokee. How many miles do people usually get out of these engines. Comparing the atk 4.0 straight replacement and the 4.7 stroker engine with the 205 HP and 270 torque and this engine which one would be most reliable and what would the mpg difference be between the 3? Also would the lower 205 HP 4.7 stroker engine give plenty of power especially when passing cars and at take off to where this engine might not even be needed? thanks I have a 2000 jeep cherokee sport Answer this question
A: The durability part is hard to answer not knowing the driving conditions you put the motor under. The motor would last as long or longer than the factory 4.0 in most vehicles. My TJ 4.0 has 250,000 miles we rebuilt my daughters 4.0 at 189,000. The stroker motor having more power you don't need to work it as hard as the stock. I have guy's that are getting within 1 mpg as the worn out stock motor. If you are in hilly terrain you may gain mileage. Not knowing a lot about your Jeep if it has bigger tires, gears changed, it is a little hard to give you all the answers you are looking for. Thanks

Q: 1993 yj 4.0 ho i am getting ready to order this engine and need to know a few things. - What injectors/Throttle Body do you recommend - I currently use a spacer on the throttle body do I use this in this application. - Also use a Air-raid cold air intake system. Do i Use this - Have a Borla header and 3" exhaust is this sufficient Answer this question
A: Hello All of the parts you already have will work perfect with this motor. The injectors and throttle body are a big part of the performance. The throttle body we use is the Hesco unit part number HES 9199HFTB. There a lot of different injectors that work on the 4.0 / 4.7 motors. The most common injectors are the Bosch blue top 24 pound out of the 93 -94 Mustang.

Q: I have a 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport with a 4.0L engine and auto transmission. My Jeep is lifted. My current engine is sluggish with the Lift. If I upgrade to this engine, would my auto transmission need to be changed or what other upgrades would you recommend? Answer this question
A: Hello When you lifted your Jeep you most likely went to taller tires. If that is the case the large tires is what kills the power. Normally we would recommend installing lower gears for the taller tires. The transmission will be fine with this motor the 2001 has the Chrysler Torqueflite which is a very strong transmission for its size. You didn't give us a lot to go by not knowing tire size, mileage on the motor and what type of terrain you drive in.
