Packaging was awsome…and it came all the way to Alaska. The fit and finish is second to none. Quality just exudes from all the parts. Extremely happy with my purchase.
This bumper is substantial! I purchased for dear protection. This is not a bumper for the guy who likes to unscrew 4 bolts and reinstall the new bumper with 4 bolts. It took 8-10 hours for me to install. If you take your time it will turn out.
Nice bumper adds a nice layer of protection and looks good. Is a handful to install but worth it
Great product at a fair price. Very happy with the look and durability!
This is such a solid bumper. I love how it looks. I’m not an expert at all, but I can’t imagine a bumper that would provide more protection and keep the airbags functional.
BLUF: 5 stars for the bumper; at most 3 stars for the directions. Very well thought out design, hugs the truck just right, has a lot of room for a winch, but 8hr install due to some awkward angles + tedious steps exacerbated by plain instructions, B&W pictures, and unmarked hardware in large bags. Strengths: Design, Strength, Fitment/Looks, Winch Mounting Options, Electrical Wiring Guide for Fogs/Markers, Lots of Hardware Included Weaknesses: Directions, front fascia cutting required (no option to purchase black/blanks), requires a $100 adapter for a hawser fairlead, every picture is misleading about floodlights Recommendations: I highly recommend this bumper to anyone looking for a strong bumper for frontal protection that fits as tightly as possible to the front of the truck. IMO this and the AEV Colorado bumper are the two most contoured, and the AEV bumper doesn't offer the frontal protection of the ARB and is also 2x the cost. Comments: The ARB Summit Front Bumper comes in a large cardboard box on an 8ft pallet. It was loadable in the bed of my CCSB Colorado for my 60mi drive home by 4WP with no issue. It weighs approximately 200# so I'd recommend assistance downloading it from your truckbed as well as install. I'd like to highlight here that this is the most well packed non-calibrated item I think I've ever purchased in my life. Every piece was wrapped with multiple layers of protection, and every packing job had a "packed by" for accountability if there is an issue. I wish I'd saved the numbers for each of the packers to highlight them in a positive way, but alas I did not. Install took quite a long time, ~8hrs, with a lot of searching for the right bolt (thread checker boards are very helpful !). I assume these directions are for offroad shops to install the bumper, because sometimes it took quite a bit of looking at the directions and test fitting to find the right way to perform a step. The most frustrating step for me was fitting the plastic covers over the triangulated tube supports and front of the bumper (just inward of the fog lights). I can think of no way to improve this process though, without increasing the cost of the bumper significantly or losing flexibility. Same with using nutserts in square holes vs welding nuts on the bumper. Installing a winch was straightforward, while it was off the truck at least. It is possible to uninstall/reinstall a winch while the bumper is mounted... but talk about tedious. Speaking of winches, this kit comes with pretty much every adapter plate you'd need to mount a Warn Winch. I had several plates left over at the end. Lifting the 200# bumper up to the truck was a very challenging part of this. A hydraulic lift table would have come in handy for sure, but 2 people also works. If you've lifted the truck up to remove your wheels/tires, I 100% recommend lowering it to the lowest practical/safe level in order to install the bumper, and then raising it back up. For wiring the LHS marker/clearance light, you must come off the harness from the headlight from the top of the engine bay. For the RHS marker/clearance, the wiring is accessible from the wheelwell. The colors were spot on for wiring. I recommend you heatshrink label them for future reference though. I've had the bumper installed for about a month now with no issues. The stone guards/armor on the bottom is actual steel as opposed to the plastic splashguards OEM. There are vents to allow airflow as well. My transmission temp doesn't seem to have increased at all. GM has a... poor design... for transmission cooling in the diesel. It is basically a giant scoop for bugs, mud, debris, and even small birds (!). The entire face of my trans intercooler was plastered and I doubt the effectiveness of it. On my DIC I usually get up to 190F on the trans temp, so after cleaning it out and installing the bumper, I'm happy to still remain below 200F (I don't tow). The factory tow hooks are retained in this install, and installing this bumper is a good opportunity to paint them up if you'd like. Overall, very pleased with this bumper. I feel like it is a good representation of the legendary reputation ARB has built in the bush for engineering and building solid products
It’s sold in parts and well take extra time to piece it together. The installer will have to lay template down on the truck to cut grill and other parts for bumper to fit properly
Q: What has to cut on the truck to make the bumper fit? Does it need to be installed by a shop? Answer this question
A: It comes with a template and requires cutting body panels where it wraps under headlights. It took 10 hours to install bumper and winch on my 2015 tundra.

Q: Hey! I have adaptive cruise control on my 2020 Tacoma SR5; is this bumper compatable with those sensors? Thanks! Answer this question
A: It depends on where the camera is mounted. On my 2021 TRD Sport, which also has adaptive cruise control, the camera is mounted on the windshield. Clearly the bumper will not interfere with a dash mounted camera.. The updated, more expensive and harder to find bumper that relocates the camera is not necessary if the camera is mounted in the windshield. Likewise, my radar antenna is mounted in the center of my grille. The radar antenna IS NOT the issue. There are is an option package that comes with grille mounted camera. Only if you have that option package (TRD Pro I think) do you need the newer bumper.

A: I believe there was an update to the bumper design sometime this year where the TSS sensor and camera can be relocated to the lower grille of the bumper

A: No, this bumper is not compatible with the parking sensors or collision sensors on your vehicle.

Q: Why is the ZR2 model of Colorado not compatible with this bumper? I would think the ZR2 is the most likely to be in need of this bumper with their off-road capabilities. Answer this question
A: Thanks for the answer. 4 Wheel Parts was sold in Post Falls Idaho near my home. Decided to go with a CBI aluminum bumper to PUNT the next “Bambi” I encounter on a Eastern Washington highway. The CBI has a winch mount.

A: They make another version of this bumper for the ZR2 different Part number 3462060K, I think.

Q: I see that the Smittybilt Gen2 X20 10K Winch fits, will the new Gen3 10K fit as well? Answer this question
A: It does, you will need to use all the spacer plates provided with the bumper otherwise the winch will sit against the body.
Answered by Rob W from Sparrows point md on 08/31/2022
A: Yes the Smittybilt X2O GEN3 10K Winch with Synthetic Rope - 98810 will also fit this bumper.

Q: i know this may be far fetched but by chance would you know if this bumper would be compatible with the full cbi skid plates?? Answer this question
A: Not sure about the cbi, but it is with the GM skidplate on the Non-ZR2.
Answered by Slimfinn from Montana on 06/18/2022
A: Not sure if this helps but I have this bumper and it did not obscure any of the mounting points for the stock skid plates.
