This does work with a stock 3rd gen Tacoma. It also does NOT interfere with the TRD skid plate. In fact, I installed mine without removing the skid plate. The install involves trimming a small piece of the inner fender liner, and using a step drill to enlarge one factory frame hole. The install is much easier if you remove the fasteners on the inner fender liner and pull at least the front half of it out of the way. The stupid plastic retainers with the square holes are easier to push out from the top, you have to remove the air cleaner box (an easy job) to access them.

Worth every penny! After removing the anemic, factory tie-down fixture the addition of this robust, true recovery point provides a solid connection place for a recovery shackle. The build quality and finish is excellent. The installation was simple. The functionality is exactly as expected. In short, this is a high-quality product that performs as advertised. Search no further if you are looking for a solid front recovery point.

As advertised and insanely strong. Weighs about 20 lbs lol. Only 4 stars because it shipped with a couple small chips in the paint. Other than that it’s great.
