The old sealed beam lamps that these replace don't provide much light. These do! I installed these along with hella h4 bulbs. They are nice and bright with a tight pattern. These are glass so should handle easily the heat of the bulbs better than plastic. They have a rubber seal that goes on the back to help keep water out. Other than the fact that I added automotive relays and upgraded the stock harness to minimize the voltage drop to the lamps these were a direct replacement. Night driving is much safer with this upgrade.

To get the most out of this product, I recommend the ARB harness upgrade that puts battery voltage right at the headlights and you don't lose voltage through the factory headlight switch. With the upgrade, that switch only operates the relays. If you use the ARB harness, the regular 65W/55W bulbs are plenty of light. I don't know why anyone would want more. A fantastic improvement over the factory setup.

These actually went in to a 1985 AE86 toyota. I upgraded to HIDs and selected the IPF housings instead of the Raybrig housing ebcause of about a $50 price difference. I cannot imagine the Raybrigs being any better. Lenses were crystal clear, boot covering the bulb was tight and solid, and they bolted straight in with no problem. Graet product!

I put this in my jeep cherokee for everday driving and I love them compared to stock sealed beam headlights. The only downfall to them is the high beam pattern, its not a very wide beam.
