I finally finished installing my bumper after a longer-than-expected procedure. I am not a mechanic, but would consider pretty pretty mechanically inclined. Here are my thoughts. My truck is 2003 Tacoma, crew cab, 4WD.
-Ordering from 4WP was great, and the free shipping was awesome. Dropped it off in the driveway on a pallet.
-GREAT quality. Great welds, great fit-up, very clean, great appearance.
-Almost all the holes are slotted so it makes install pretty easy, and it's easy to adjust to get it square.
-It is really important to replace the factory bumpers on these trucks. It's quite disturbing what flimsy pieces of crap they are. Thank God I never hit anything with the factory bumper, it would have totaled the truck (and me).
-Now that I'm done with install, I am happy overall and would recommend it.
-THERE ARE BASICALLY NO INSTRUCTIONS?!?! They give you a few sheets, but they are flippin terrible and the pictures suck (and I couldn't find anything helpful online). AND all the hardware (a decent amount) just comes all thrown together in a big 'ol bag. Very surprising and irritating (plus they're almost all metric, so that's fun deciphering them from the instructions). Since this kit covers several years of vehicle, there are some adapter type pieces included, and it makes the drilling/pinning part of the procedure confusing. Additionally, on my year of truck, the point where the bumper bolts to the end of the frame is a very weak point (thin metal). I ended up welding the frame extensions to the end of the frame, pinning the bumper thru those extensions, and then modified the bar that catches the front of the skid plate (bent the ends 90deg. and bolted them).
-The paint is a powder coat, so the coverage/finish is great, but the paint is more-so bonded to itself than to the base metal. I chipped mine in several places during the install. I am concerned how the paint will hold up to rock chips while driving.
-YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THINGS FINGER TIGHT UNTIL IT'S ALL IN PLACE! Super important. Otherwise you can't fit things together. I had to take mine completely on and off 3 times before I was finally happy with the fit (slow learner).
-The up-right supports are designed to crush on impact, which I guess is good for the function of the airbags, but I'm curios how it will hold up to a deer. And I'm a little concerned how those will handle getting pulled on from the shackle points.
-One of the frame extenders would only fit in one of the uprights (even tho they're supposed to be identical). So I had to completely uninstall it and swap it with the other one. I see that as being a QC mistake... just a little annoying.
In conclusion, I think these have to be the best option especially for the money. They are a quality product. Just be prepared to make a few modifications, and expect TERRIBLE instructions. And my recommendations- Dump the bag of fasteners out and group all the same items together, assemble everything completely but only finger tight, and have a bottle jack when you do the install (convenient for leveling, etc.)

Purchased this ARB bumper about 10 years ago (back in 08 or 07 if I remember correctly), virtually right after ARB released it for 3rd gen Dodge Ram. Have had it in use ever since, and yes, it is 2018 and I still have the truck. Outstanding unit with great protection and approach angles. Very well made, no cracks in welds and not issues with powder coating after all those years. Would buy it again.

You will be pleased with this bumper.
Pros: 1. This is a very stout, great looking bumper with turn signals and a wiring harness included. When installed, it feels extremely well built with high quality steel. 2. It has the mount points for up to 4 accessories. 3. You don't need to relocate your horns with this bumper and it comes with a mounting plate for your vacuum canister. Super easy!
Cons: 1. The mount points for the D-Ring Shackles are not even half as thick as the beefier smittybilt bumpers, which makes me question how much tension they could actually take. I called ARB and they don't keep technical specifics available to their sales people which is something they should really have at the ready for serious customers. Id imagine standard D-Rings would also wobble horizontally when driving. 2. They only include text based descriptions of bolts and brackets on their instructions, a pictured parts inventory would help the novice DIY customer alot. 3. Also, they don't tell you that you need to remove any nutcerts on the front frame before installing the bumper. 4. The bumper's pre-drilled holes which require you to drill the frame to 1/2 inch are not 1/2 inch themselves which makes it really difficult to get the threads of the bolts started into the "plate - captive nut assy". Drill these just a touch wider than 1/2 inch until the bolts slide in smoothly and you will save frustration. The nuts on the plates have to be angled just perfect to thread them properly.
Other observations: Despite ARB's push to use Warn winches, you can us another brand winch with the same mounting bolt pattern. Beware though that this bumper has a custom molded front bracket to mount your fairlead and the smittybilt wont fit, its about 1/2 an inch too short, so you must buy a Warn roller fairlead which can be pricy. Also, hawse fairleads will not fit this bumper properly without heavy modification of the hawse fairlead.
It took a friend and I about 4 hours to fully install this bumper which includes mounting the winch.
Overall I do recommend this bumper, I absolutely love the design with the full brush guard. Buy the bumper from the guys at 4WP, they have the best price on the internet for this bumper and they are great people who will bend over backwards to help you out.

Who needs instructions
Picked it up and the box was as big as my truck. Got it home opened the box found small box with parts and my new bumper.should of took it out of box at store.
Watched you tube and read instructions got the bumper painted the way I wanted felt a little nervous. Everyone on line was cutting and welding to get old bumpers off and to fit new bumper on. I don't weld and had to barrow angle grinder from a friend.
My 13 year old son and I sat down in the morning and started Un bolting old bumper lots of hidden bolts took us about 2 hours.
We went for lunch.
Came back to truck and paired up bits and pieces and started installing realizing the instructions are harder to understand than just putting it together. 30 minuts laiter we were making our final fitting adjustment and hooking up the lights. I only had to redrill skid plat hole to line up. No cutting no welding easy

So good i bought a 2nd
This is the 2nd ARB bumper i have had. They are great bumpers quality and durability speaking. The only downside to them is weight including hardware, supports, and winch mount the system is 167.6lbs(no winch)i weighed myself twice this is accurate. But for the price and quality its a small compromise.
As for 4wheelparts inc they are a great company, great prices, had a small inaccuracy in my order and they fixed it ASAP. 5 stars!!!!

ABR Deluxe Bull Bar Winch Mount Bumper
Bumper is very well built and gives an aggressive look to your vehicle. Doesn't pre-load factory suspension due to weight. Instulation on a 1999 Toyota 4runner limited. The factory bumper mount has a plate where it bolts to frame. This plate is welded and these welds have to be grinded off and a hole has to be drilled through the bottom of the frame to bolt brackets of new bumper. Installation is not difficult if you have some experience with a grinder and drill. The instructions are difficult to understand but videos online assist with install. Overall I would recommend this bumper to anyone who goes off roading often does not plan on ever putting a factory bumper back on. The delivery company used to deliver product sucked
