Getting into your truck shouldn?t feel like climbing Mount Everest. That?s why AMP Research invented POWERSTEP?, the automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and then hides itself safely out of sight when the doors close for improved ground clearance, aerodynamics and appearance. Its handsome design, all-weather performance and legendary reliability set the industry standard. Ditto its industry-leading 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.
Good quality took awhile to install but well worth it .
My Ram 1500 had factory side steps. The Amp PowerSteps are more functional, safer, and let’s be honest, look much cooler. My truck is only raised 2.5” with my King 2.5 reservoir struts & shocks. The truck looks taller without the stock boards. I have more off pavement clearance with the Amp PowerSteps retracted. The width of the Amp PowerSteps is greater than stock and the purchase (grip) is much better. One of the best aspects of the Amp PowerSteps is the “Oh cool” comments given by people who see them in action. Lastly, I’m pretty handy with a wrench, wiring, and have done almost all mods on my vehicles with some considered much more difficult but I’m really happy I had them installed by 4 Wheel Parts. Note: When you order online and have them shipped to a store they give you $150 off the cost of installation. They did a clean install like you’d expect. What other electronic aftermarket component have you added to your rig that boasts a 5 year warranty?
Everyone that sees these things... loves them! Instructions were fairly easy to follow. Product moves and looks as advertised!
Easy install, just take your time and I suggest two people when placing steps on arms
Spent 80K on a new power wagon and had these installed. Worked great for a couple of weeks, now not at all. Ordered a new control module over a month ago, it's still not here. My wife can't get in the truck anymore. looking at solid steps now.
I put these boards on my 2016 GMC Sierra . They are going on 5 years old and are very well made and get the job done. The factory boards were not placed well . These deploy and are at the perfect height for entering and exiting the truck. Another thing, It gives the truck a sleek and natural appearance , its not a cool look with the boards
Best investment for a lifted truck to achieve a sleek look
Great product for a fair price (rare to see discounts on AMP electric steps and the free install promotion for black Friday was awesome) and a good, clean install. My ONLY reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that they kept my stock "nerf" style steps without telling me they were doing so and I didn't even realize it until later on the next day. I planned to keep them as my truck is a lease so that I could swap back to stock, but, my mistake for not checking the bed of my truck before leaving to see if they put them in there. Whoops.

Q: Are these plug and play Answer this question
A: No they are not. In terms of plugging them into your OBD-II, no. You have splice into the door sensor wires so that they will work with each door individually.

Q: I have a 2020 Sahara unlimited can these be added to make easier entry for our older family members Answer this question
A: Yes, the Amp Research power steps are a great additional to any Jeep. Got a set for my wife's 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (which has a 2.5in lift with 35in tires on it) to replace to nearly useless factory steps since they are only a few inches below to door, making them very awkward to use. AR power steps drop down about 12 inches making it much easier to step up on and enter the Jeep.

A: Hello, Yes of course. Our older customers love these steps, If your JL has an more aggressive aftermarket lift consider the PowerStep XL (part number AMP77132-01A), these lower about an additional 3". Again though, I would use the regular PowerStep (AMP75132-01) unless your jeep has a 5"-6"+ lift. Thanks for checking us out!

Q: Where does this plug in to? My husband is worried that it plugs in to where his tuner plugs in to the obd2 on the truck. So was just curious if it will work for us or not. Answer this question
A: Not the 75101-01A. That one is going to be hard-wired into the door trigger wires in the vehicle. Will work with your vehicle just fine. https://www.amp-research.com/images/ePIM/original/AMPIS-75101-75118.pdf If it was a 76XXX-01A series, it would interfere with the OBD2 plug.
