Getting into your truck shouldn?t feel like climbing Mount Everest. That?s why AMP Research invented POWERSTEP?, the automatic, electric-powered running board that instantly extends when you open your door, and then hides itself safely out of sight when the doors close for improved ground clearance, aerodynamics and appearance. Its handsome design, all-weather performance and legendary reliability set the industry standard. Ditto its industry-leading 5-year/60,000-mile warranty.
These will be our 3rd set of amp's. Quality product. Installing the steps is easy. The wiring behind the pass kick panel not so much. No way i could do it. My wife could fit down there and get her arms up there to tie into the 3 different harness's. No wires to cut, they provide posi lock connectors that work well. Instructions say 3-5 hours, took us a good 6. Instructions could have been written better but when you get the kick panel opened up and look it over, you'll figure it out.

It is refreshing to see quality of this nature. The install was not complicated if you follow the directions. The fit and finish are superb. After a few adjustments, these boards work perfectly. I would like to have had about 6 more inches on the front LED harness. But worked out well the way it was. I highly recommend these to anyone who likes to keep the clean look of a truck.

I have had two sets of these. 1 on 2006 F-150, 1 on 2014 Chevy SILVERADO 1500 which I have now. Both were perfect. I would recommend them to anyone and have recommended them to all my friends. i have had no problems with either. You will be glad you purchased this product.

You don't have to be a mechanical wizard
These are too easy to install...I am not a mechanic...as a matter of fact...I am a medic in the Army...if I can do this, anyone can...took about 4 hrs..save yourself some money and do it yourself. Awesome product, clear instructions, works fantastic, looks great.

I put these on my '14 Tacoma when I bought it Mar 14, my wife has an artificial hip and she had trouble getting in/out of the truck. We visited Yellowstone in our Jeep and she had issues with getting in and out of the Jeep. Added them to the Jeep and just spent a week in Death Valley with no issues for her. Lights are great at night. Drove off road lots but not is class IV or V terrain. Since they are not hardened, my only knock on them.

Sweet, my wife like the Jeep Jk again
Jeep Jk with 2.5 inch lift and a 5 foot wife , was not a happy lady about the Jeep. She is smiling again and the jeep is back in good standing. Thanks for a cool product. Jeepin again ,

unreliable but great when it works
The installer at Four Wheel Parts said the boards only work part or the time and that was due to a Chevy door switch but the interior lights never fail to operate. Very frustrating not being able to depend upon them working each and every time. I left the truck all day for installation and was waiting till after closing time to pick up my truck. They said to bring it back but I have to leave it for another day. I wish it had been done correctly the first time.

I was sent the wrong kit at first. Luckily I have a 4WheelParts store near by and they took care of me getting me the right harness for my truck.
Install was a breeze. While Amp suggests it is a moderate level install I found it to be on the easier side of installs. It took me about two and a half hours with some assistance toward the end of the install when I was bolting the running boards to the hangers.
My family loves the steps and now my mother-in-law can get in my truck with ease. They have held up to mild off-roading and have great traction in the mud and rain. We will see how they do in the snow this winter.
Overall, I could not be happier with my purchase.

AMP PowerStep - 2011 Silverado
I used to have the GM OEM chrome running boards on my truck. While they were great boards, I got tired of the chrome and the way the boards made my truck look lower to the ground. I got rid of the chrome boards and aluminum wheels and went with black wheels and these great AMP PowerStep boards. Installation was a bit of a pain (instruction say to torque certain parts at, say, step no. 3 and then on step no. 7 they say to install the boards to the bracket but you have to then loosen what you've already torqued to get the boards on). The aluminum threads cross-thread very easily so you have to be very carefull when fastening the boards to the brackets. But once the boards are attached, they fit together supurbly and look absolutely stealty when stowed. The fit and finish, function, and usablity of the boards is excellent. The step is nice and wide and very high grip. And the final plus of the kit is that it comes with a light kit! So dont buy a separate light kit like I did. ;)
The wiring was a little bit tricky but I got lucky and was able to tap into the wires at the kick panel and at the wire junction on both sides of the truck. As a note, look for the wires in the bundle further back towards the piller behind the front seats. And the green wire with a black stripe on the passenger side is the light green wire with black stripe - it does not match the color of the AMP wire harness (although the driver side colors do match.)
No complaints. Very satisfied.

I have a 04 Ram with 37 inch tires and my 4 year old has no problems getting into the truck. I plan on putting them on my next truck.
