The AMP Research BedStep2™ mounts just behind the cab, forward of the rear wheel, providing a faster, easier and safer route to access toolboxes, equipment and cargo in the bed. Easily installed, this frame-mounted, retractable truck step can be mounted on either side of the truck box, and it flips down or retracts with just the nudge of your foot. BEDSTEP2™ is made in the USA and backed by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
This a great step and should be a must for anyone that has in bed truck tool box!
Mine was installed on 2018 RAM 2500. Installation was difficult but resulted in a sturdy high quality finished product. Vehicle lift recommended for installation.
I like the step, works great, but I wish it was lil more clear that I was only getting one. As much as it cost, I thought I was getting a pair. As far as the step goes very solid and easy to use.
Q: Can I add onto running board to make stepping truck lower ? Answer this question
A: Actually Kelly, your wrong , Rhino sell's a running board " Without " drop step's. But they also sell a pair of drop step's that you can add to the running boards. and they don't add any stress to running boards. So I think I will look into these !!! Their running boards are RB10 AND RB20 . (CARID ) Pt.# 69420000PC (drop step's)

A: ok kelly your nswer makes sence if i were to mount directly to running (but i guess thats what i asked !!!) board. but if a bracket was fabricated to mount to and installed so when drop step (?)is extended out to step on, and it's attitude would be at 3" below existing running board, totally independent from running board. then when not in use it would tuck back up to its storage state. anyway that's my thought's and I've got an other plan I'm going to develop. Thanks' for your feedback , answer.(maybe I'll send a pic when done)
