can not complian about this intake system. it was a breeze to install and mad the truck sound alot more like a truck instead of the restictive intake that cam on it. made the engine bay look a lot less cluttered and i have noticed some fuel and power gains over all. if i was in the need for another intake i would buy this one again all over.

Obvious increase in acceleration, and engine even sounds beefier! Well worth the investment, and a simple install.

Definite increase in HP!
Recommend highly if looking for added HP and Torque. It is definitely noticeable.
Air Intake box mounting screw location is almost impossible to get to for a 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. Recommend drilling a hole just above the box mounting screw location to insert a screwdriver for tightening.

Good performer but poor fit
Installed on my 2012 jku for better performance.
Overall airflow and filtration is much better then stock. Filter creates a nice low rumble when you step on the gas but quiet when just cruising.
Overall fit is poor. Filter housing mounting hole was off by a 1/4 inch and to drill another hole to mount. Tube between throttle body and housing to long causing housing to push up and out of position for a secure mount.
I would look at other products before purchasing again.
Hello i have 2 questions.
1) What is the difference between Dry and Oil Intake Systems?
2) Do i need to change anything else with the factory parts of my truck other than this part for it to fit ?

When comparing oiled filters vs. dry filters, you should also keep in mind your particular air intake. These oiled filters are guaranteed to restore your system to its former glory. In some cases, oil from an oiled filter might make its way into your air intake if it is severely over-oiled. However, when you choose high-quality oiled filters, like the AFE Air Intake Replacement Air Filters, and follow the directions accordingly, you will get the results you want without risking harm to your intake or engine. It’s recommended that you clean your AFE filters with the AFE filter cleaner, let dry and then re-oil the way it is explained in the included instructions. That way, you don’t risk over-oiling your filter. On the other hand, if you think oiling your filter may be too much of a hassle, a dry filter may be the best way to go. Nothing else is need to do this.

How often does the filter need to be cleaned under "normal" on road conditions? How many miles before the filter needs to be replaced?
Don from on
Hello Don, the Afe Momentum GT Air Intake System part# AFE51-76204 should be cleaned every 5-10000 miles. As long as the filter is cared for properly it should last the life of the vehicle. Thank you for your inquiry
