Advance Adapters Atlas Speedometer Housing Assembly - 301506

universal fit logo

Just like gold, this is the hard to find now discontinued OEM speedometer pinion gear holder (S-2538608) (NSN 3040011923673) that was used in 1982-1986 Jeep CJ vehicles. In the past this part was only available as salvage or reconditioned part and they were nearly impossible to find. This we know this from our own firsthand experience as this is the primary speedometer pinion gear holder that we use with our Atlas Transfer Cases. We have begun production on our own precision machined billet aluminum version of this elusive item for use with our Atlas Transfer Case, and now it is available to you. Made to factory OEM specs this speedometer pinion holder makes for a perfect replacement for your Dana 300 or Atlas Transfer Case. Note: This speedometer assembly is not needed in 1987-up Jeep vehicles. The drive gear is sold separately (PN300620) due to speedometer calibration for tire size and axle gear ration.

Advance Adapters got its start in Downey, California in 1971 with a single adapter mating a Muncie car 4-speed to a Jeep Dana 18 transfer case. Eventually headers, overdrives, motor mounts and linkage brackets were added to the offerings to complement their core adapter components. When interest in rock crawling spiked in the mid-1990s, Advance Adapters offered low ratio transmission swaps then switched gears into the ultra-low gear transfer case arena. Today, the company is based in Paso Robles, California and their engine and transmission conversions for Jeeps are in kit form and sold as individual components. Shop Advance Adapters Now
