The Tacoma Bed Stiffeners are the best solution for the customer who wants to use their rig to its fullest potential on and off road. The unique internal brace system allows for full use of the truck while providing additional strength, integrated bottle openers and tie down point options. The bed stiffeners also provide a customizable logo plate and come fully powder coated to be trail ready out of the box.
This is a well designed kit that conseals the bed stiffener behind the taillights and includes tie-down points like other brands but has a bottle opened unlike the other brands. The exposed part looks good and clean in the bed. Parts look very well made and of high quality material. Id recommend to anyone interested to bed stiffers.
This is the only bed stiffener I know of that doesn’t block part of the bed.
I do not know why people keep buying the ones that take up bed space like Jack cut some flat bar stock and welded his logo on it, drilled a few holes and bolted it on. Can not use your bed with the L brackets bolted on in the way of sliding sheets of plywood in or whatever else you may be using your bed for. These are done right. They fit behind where they have no impact on how you use your bed. You want the cheap solution or the best solution.
Very well made, good installation instructions. I like that it is hidden, instead of taking up space in the truck bed. Harder to install than the other types, but worth it. Preparing for my Four Wheel Camper Project M topper style camper.
These worked great, and don't take up any space in the bed or make it harder to get stuff in and out of it. Note that the instructions don't say anything about straightening the bed before install, but that's even more important with these than other stiffeners. If your bed sides are already sagging, slide two tie-down points all the way back and put a ratchet strap between them. Use it to pull the bed sides together until they're in the right position, before you drill any holes. Otherwise these stiffeners won't correct the sag (though they'll prevent it from getting worse). If you're using a rack-it lumber rack (I am), you'll need to do some extra drilling to make the rear rack mount brackets fit with the bed stiffeners. But then you can use the rack mounts in lieu of the tie-down plates that come with the stiffeners. I drilled the stiffeners to match the brackets, worked great.
Got this for my 2019 tacoma, and love that the majority is hidden as opposed to most stiffiners i have seen where all the hardware mount in the bed.
The Good: Hands down this is the best bed stiffener design for the Tacoma. Takes up no bed space while providing a much larger "web" compared to other designs. The Bad: While not difficult per se, the install is more complicated than other designs and requires drilling quite a few hole in various locations. My biggest complaint however is the quality. The large "L" shape plates did have a noticeable warp and the captive nuts were not centered. This became an issue when trying to precisely drill the holes into the bedside. I would recommend stepping up a drill bit size when installing. Overall they are a great deal for the price (especially if you catch them on sale) but I would have been willing to pay more for better quality control and not having them made in China.
These bed stiffeners are really nice. I like that they are hidden and you can have full function of the truck bed. I will say install was a bit more than I thought it would be. Took me about 3 hours to install. However I am very happy with the outcome.
