Even though she is just 26 years old and may seem like a fresh face to some, Sara Price's journey to The Mint 400 has been a long one. It began 18 years ago when she first swung a leg over a dirt bike. Ever since then, racing in the dirt has played a significant role in her life. She claimed 19 amateur titles in motocross, took a medal in X Games and rode for a factory-backed team. Motocross is a rough sport though and takes its toll on the body. We don't know a single racer who hasn't broken at least one bone. Most can rattle off the names of the bones they have snapped and have a collection of screws or pins holding them together. It is also tough to make any money at it except for a select few that achieve fame. That was especially true for a female racer as the path to making any money racing is a more limited one. Since broken bones and busted bank accounts aren't a good combination, Sara began to look for other opportunities. She quickly transitioned to UTVs where she proved to be just as fast on four wheels as on two. Sara also took on the challenge of competing in the high-flying Stadium Super Trucks racing series. There, Sara's talent behind the wheel caught the eye of RPM Racing's Clyde Stacy. He invited Sara to race RPM's 6100 Spec Trophy Truck last year and she quickly adapted to the faster pace. Now, 4WP driver Sara Price takes on her first Mint 400 in what is sure to be a tough and challenging race. Check out her road to The Mint 400.
