Great winch! I have 92 YJ with 6" with 35 and have been in mud up to my step bars. Winch never even strained. Reels in fast not slow like some I have seen. Good price, can't beat it.

I bought this winch for a Jeep JK Rubicon I purchased. I also have Warn winches on a Ford F350, and a Jeep CJ5. Although I don't use them often, they've always done the job when needed.

Why not include a Solenoid bracket?

Comments about WarnM8000 Self-Recovery Winch:

I use this product on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler The installation is easy and the product does what it is required to do. Solid and reliable. My only complaint, why didn't Warn include a bracket to mount the winch solenoid. Having to delay installation while you wait for a part that should have been included is a major annoyance. For the cost of this winch, not to include a simple bracket is not in the

Comments about WarnM8000 Self-Recovery Winch:

I rolled my 2005 TJ Unliimited. Actually, it only tipped onto the driver's side. We were in the middle of nowhere, and after making sure everyone was unhurt, I realized we were miles from the closest road where I could summon help. I started to smell gasoline, leaking from the filler, as well as lube oil coming from the diff vents. I attached the winch cable to a tree about 60' to the right of

Great Winch

Comments about WarnM8000 Self-Recovery Winch:

Great winch, but be aware of the fact that it comes with NO bracket for mounting the solenoid! You have to order the bracket separately from Warn at an additional $22 cost with shipping! Why can't they just raise the price 10 bucks and give you the stupid bracket?? Performance wise though, it's first rate and one of the best winches out there.

Best Winch out there!!!

This is by far the best deal you will ever see for a winch [$] for a WARN!!! It doesn't get any better. I have used and abused my M8000 and every single time it works flawlessly no matter how much mud, snow or how many rocks it been under. Don't wast your money on a cheep 400 knock off that only works a couple of times. By warn and it will always have your back. Either mount the solenoid to t

Comments about WarnM8000 Self-Recovery Winch:

The winch works awesome the 1st time I used it was to pull a 20' Uhaul from getting stuck in snow (it was only yp to the rim but still) single line 2nd time was my fault i was showing off and got stuck in snow up to the axles and single line pulled my self out... So far so good :D

Comments about WarnM8000 Self-Recovery Winch:

Install was a breeze and the winch has done all that I have asked so far. It pulls at a good speed. The only thing that I'd change is adding an integrated solenoid.

Comments about WarnM8000 Self-Recovery Winch:

I am not happy with this winch. We bought this winch to lift poles in place less than 2000lb. The winch is rated for 8000lb. The winch will not lock itself down under an increased load. At a certain load, well, well under 8000 lb, the drum will not hold and releases itself if you withdrawl your finger from the switch. The winch will have to be returned.
