Advantages of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification:

"ASE Certification" is a term that is commonly thrown around the automotive industry as a major selling point for receiving trustworthy and reliable vehicle service. But what exactly does ASE Certification mean, and how are those benefits realized to you, the consumer?

An ASE Certification can be thought of as a yardstick by which to measure the knowledge and skills of the technician working on your vehicle. Essentially, motorists receive the benefit of knowing that their vehicles are being serviced by highly-trained professionals. With over 40-plus exams in a number of automotive subjects, and required retesting for service professionals to retain certification to stay up to date with the latest vehicle technologies, one can see how ASE certification is raising the standards of quality in vehicle repair and service.

Primary Benefits:

  • The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is an independent, non-profit organization established by consumers to work for consumers.
  • Applicants are required to pass any pertinent tests, as well as have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in order to receive ASE certification.
  • Tests are grouped into specialties based upon automobile type for both customization, as well as repair.
  • Certification is not for life. All ASE technicians must be retested every 5 years to ensure they are up to date with the latest automotive standards.

All 4 Wheel Parts technicians are ASE certified for quality assurance. Look for the blue and white ASE logo on display at all 4 Wheel Parts service facilities.
