Looking for a handy place to mount your accessory switches that doesn’t require cutting or other modifications? Mounting your switches up and out of the way from the shifter makes the switches easier to reach and use. Each A pillar pod is textured to match your factory interior for the ultimate look and is easy to install. Simply remove the original equipment A-pillar cover and replace with the Switch Pod. Comments about Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod:

Really easy to use, compatable with most switches (I used Daystar and they looked great with the pod). Only drawback I saw was the pod was a lighter color then the black interior of my 2011 JKU, would mesh better with 2007-2010 JK Wranglers.

        Not quite right for 2012s

Comments about Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod:

If you have a 2012, you may want to wait for the updated version. If you're like me, and you have no patience, then this is what you can expect:
        - The color of the pod is a lighter gray. The interior of the 2012 is darker (almost black).
        - The pod doesn't exactly cover all the way down. you can still see some exposed wires in the pic.
        - There are two clips that are needed for the pod to connect to the pillar. The 2012 only has one clip, but it can still work.

It works great, just not for the 2012. :-)

Had to reshape it so it would look right. Easy to cut out to install switches. Color is a shade lighter than my interior.

works great, but not for 2012. . .Yet

Comments about Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod:

The Pod does the job, but it's not quite the right fit or color for the 2012 Jeep. (see the gap in the picture with the exposed wires)This pod is a dark gray, but the 2012 interior is slightly more black. Also, the pod is made for 2 tabs to connect on the backside. the 2012 only has one tab.I've heared Rugged will be making a new one for the 2012 model, but I couldn't wait. :-) For [$], I'll grab the new one when it comes out.It definitely does the job and was easy to cut out the holes for the matching rocker switches.

Comments about Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod:

I bought the A-Pillar Pod / 4 switch kit but had to cut out switch locations myself (I thought the kit would have already done that but was wrong). No instuctions on how to remove the stock A-pillar cover other than "remove it". After deciding to drill out the center plastic screw with a 1/8" drill bit, I located the RR A-Pillar Pod / 4 switch assembly in place and was totally shocked at the gaps left by the RR pod. I trashed it and cut switch locations in the stock cover. Now I'm styling with quality looks. I wish I could get my money back for this poor fitting RR product. Sales companies like 4 Wheel Parts should check these items out before offering them to customers.
